The ECOFFEE project, funded by the European Union through the Horizon Europe – CIRCULOOS program, boosts the circular economy through the valorization of coffee grounds from the HORECA sector and vending machines.
Through clean technologies, this organic waste is converted into natural ingredients with high added value for sustainable biocides and animal feed.
🌿 FumiHogar: innovation in natural biocides
At FumiHogar, as a Spanish company specialized in the development of fumigant and biocide solutions, we actively participate in the ECOFFEE project, contributing our experience in formulation and applied technology.
Our objective is to transform natural coffee compounds – such as polyphenols and bioactive oils – into plant-based biocides that are effective, safe and environmentally friendly.

The CIRCULOOS platform used at ECOFFEE ensures complete traceability of the waste from its origin to its final application.
This digital tool measures environmental and social impact in real time, offering transparency and reliability throughout the entire production process.
