Transfiere 2025 will be the showcase of LIFE NextFUMIGREEN with its natural biopesticide for safer crops

  • The European project returns to the largest forum for innovation, science and technology to show its alternative to conventional fumigants
  • The meeting will take place from Wednesday 12 to Friday 14 March at the Malaga Trade Fair and Congress Centre (FYCMA)

Brussels, 3 March 2025 – LIFE NextFUMIGREEN, the project that develops natural fumigants from plant extracts, will be present at Transfiere 2025, the reference forum in Europe for knowledge transfer in science and technology. The event will bring together more than 500 companies and public bodies in Malaga from 12 to 14 March, with the aim of promoting collaboration in key sectors such as biotechnology, agribusiness and sustainability.

In this space, LIFE NextFUMIGREEN will present its proposal to replace synthetic fumigants with safer and more effective alternatives against pests such as whiteflies and diseases such as botrytis in greenhouse horticultural crops.

Attendees will be able to learn first-hand about this technology at the Finnova stand, where experts from the project will explain its impact on food safety and the reduction of environmental impact in intensive agriculture. As an entity specialized in European funding, Finnova supports the dissemination of the project and its application in other markets.
